Ella May is one of my oldest and dearest friends, and going through this process with her was one of my favourite parts of getting married. I didn’t have a clear picture of what I wanted my dress to look like; I just knew the feeling I wanted it to give me. I gave Ella May a vague brief: something fun, playful, different, and reflective of my character. She captured that perfectly in her drawings. I couldn’t have imagined a dress like this, but I knew it was the one when I saw the designs!
I felt so well looked after by Ella May throughout the whole process. She genuinely cared about how I felt in the dress and put so much energy into making sure everything was just right, turning every hesitation or idea into something thoughtful and practical. She was always calm, collected, and reassuring, and she never hesitated to give honest advice when I needed it. During wedding planning, the moments I truly felt like a princess bride were the ones spent in Ella May’s studio. It still feels like a bit of a pinch-me moment to think I had an Ella May London wedding dress!
Each wedding dress has its own language, and Ella May’s gift is being able to understand that language within moments. She has this rare talent for creating something that feels completely bespoke and truly personal to you.
