From as early as I can remember, I was the kind of little girl who would spend hours on the living room floor, pasting magazine cuttings into scrapbooks and dreaming about what my wedding dress would look like. I only wish I could go back and show my seven-year-old self what she would one day create with Ella May London.
The whole process felt nothing short of magical. Choosing the fabrics, seeing the first version come to life, refining every detail and watching it all evolve — it was so special. It felt like taking a piece of my heart, shaping it into something beautiful, and making it the centrepiece of the happiest day of my life.
Ella May and her seamstress are both true experts in their craft. They have such a natural eye for detail, movement and harmony in a dress — something that can only come from years of experience, passion and care. They were so excited to bring my ideas to life, while also being honest and thoughtful whenever something needed refining.
My only advice? Try on something unexpected at the high street boutiques first. You may think you want the slinky, silky number, but trust me — your soul might be calling for the gown.
Being a bride is special, but wearing something entirely unique and quintessentially you is another feeling altogether. I would choose Ella May in every lifetime, universe and eon.
