I wanted to be very hands-on with the design of every part of my dress. It was a team effort between my Mum, Ella May, and me to design it, and then Ella May and her team really brought it to life.
Getting married in Scotland in October, I needed my dress to work for the setting and temperature. I wanted to be warm and covered for the church service, so we made a jacket. The brief for the jacket was crisp, clean, with defined lines, and something I could wear again, which I absolutely love. For my dress, we created definition through the seams, the fitted dropped waist, and a (manageable) train. I felt incredible in it and absolutely loved wearing it. For the dinner, I removed the jacket. I wanted something more glamorous, so we added a scarf, which I just loved and also hope to wear again.
Ella May is just so so good at what she does, and I will always treasure my dress and all the special memories that come with it
